What’s Up, Joe?

Posted by vicepresidents

One of our passions here at VicePresidents.com is following the adventures of The #2-in-Command. Joe Biden is truly a joy to watch. You can never really be sure what he’ll be doing — whether it’s squirting kids with water guns or calling supporters’ elderly mothers. Here’s what Joe has been up to lately…

He’s made a sex joke at a keynote speech in Vegas that CNN’s Soledad O’Brien just can’t handle…

(But what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas… right?)

He’s dissing Romney for asking illegals to “show their papers,” but “refusing to show his” — meaning more than one year of tax documents. Biden accused Romney of hiding money in offshore Swiss and Cayman Island accounts…

He’s campaigned for Senator Claire McCaskill in Kansas City and Maria Cantwell in Seattle. In Kansas City, where McCaskill’s tenure is endangered, the VP used his star power to raise over $80,000 for her re-election bid and Missouri Democratic Party. In Seattle, he had harsh words for his adversaries — calling Mitt Romney “George Bush On Steroids” and lampooning the GOP’s foreign policy strategy as “right out of the Cold War” playbook.

He golfed at Rehoboth’s Peninsula golf club in Delaware last Friday. Afterwards, Joe hit Rehoboth Beach with Jill for Independence Day, where fans described him as an “extremely friendly guy” and “a real genuine person.”

He made an unannounced visit at a U.S. VETS Career Center. “You guys don’t have a damned thing to be ashamed of,” he told the vets. “We owe you. We owe you.”

Last month, Joe spoke at the U.S. Conference of Mayors and joked,   “Barack makes me sound like I climbed out of a mine in Scranton, Pennsylvania carrying a lunch bucket!” He admitted his father never worked blue collar, but ABC News says the VEEP has successfully built a “one of us” working class brand that has endured throughout his tenure as Vice President.

He spoke in Iowa about strengthening the Middle Class, in fact…

The Vice President spent some time in Iowa around the holiday this month. He shocked many local residents while cruising through the Hy-Vee supermarket on a quest for ice cream… like a Bad-ass.

As you recall, speaking out about Violence Against Women has always been one of Joe’s pet projects over the years. In 1994, he spearheaded the Violence Against Women Act, which provides additional resources for victimized women. In June, he debuted this new PSA that includes professional athletes like Jeremy Lin and David Beckham…

He spoke to educators and confessed, “My name is Joe Biden and I’m in love with a teacher!”

He also hung out with the Green Ridge Little League team in his hometown of Scranton, PA.

Isn’t the Vice President swell?
