Narrowing Down Obama's 3 VP Choices

Certainly it is premature to believe Senator Obama has decided who his short-list of VP candidates are.  The same for Senator Clinton. (Although you can bet Senator Clinton has Obama on hers!)

But, we have been doing the thinking for him at VicePresidents.com. I am sure Senator Obama is too busy to be grateful, but the applause can come later.  Hopefully, as we suspect, his aides are all over our site in hopes of bettering their odds of finding the next VP nominee for Senator Obama.  (Yeah.  Right)  Either way, here it goes.

It does not take a genius to guess. Mr. Obama needs a strong, well-known name.  He needs somebody who will not bring baggage to the campaign.  He needs a partner who can help navigate in Congress. So, here's our three submissions...what do you think?

1.  Tom Daschle.  Experienced, a mentor to Obama, chairperson of his campaign.  Respected for senate majority leader.  Low-key yet articulate.

2.  Bill Richardson.  Helped push Obama over the hump.  Great credibility.  Strong on the campaign trail.  Well experienced in foreign affairs.  Passionate.

3.  Sam Nunn.  Out of the spotlight, not damaged by the war.  A centrist who can rally Bush and Reagan Republicans.  Great on foreign affairs.  Seasoned advisor.  Could reach across the aisle.
